The mission of Young Life is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. We continue to use our proven methodologies for teen ministry to include: Camp: Young Life camping involves high adventure, lots of fun, great food and excellent speakers who understand and respect high school and middle school kids. At Young Life’s 32 camps across the globe, teens are treated to resort-quality facilities for which Young Life has become known. Each day kids are offered the opportunity to get away from the pressures of everyday life, have fun with friends and their Young Life leaders, and hear the message of God’s love in terms they can understand. And Young Life camping is open to all kids including those who are often overlooked: those from economically depressed communities, kids with disabilities and teenage mothers. Each year, almost 100,000 kids around the world spend a week or a weekend at Young Life camp, having an experience that many describe as the best of their lives. Club: Kids come to Young Life clubs each week where they meet with their friends, laugh together, and hear the truth of the Christian faith. Club is a relaxed, safe and fun setting where kids and leaders gather to spend time together. The majority of these kids have no idea where to turn for answers, except to their own friends. Young Life knows from over seven decades of experience that a caring adult can become a friend to these high school students and offer spiritual and moral direction that is readily accepted by young people. Teens who are interested in Christian growth participate in small discipleship group for Bible study and discussion about real life issues. We have ministry in over 5,937 schools and other outreach locations, as well as more than 3,400 staff and 52,839 volunteers in the United States and around the world impacting the lives of 1.4 million kids.
